LG’s new Nexus E960 viewed in the wild

It seems like every day there is a new rumor of sighting of LG’s Nexus phone, and today is no exception. This time we have the LG E960 “Mako” surfacing in Belarus. The photos come from a Russian-language site called Onliner, and they offer the clearest views we’ve seen of the device so far.

The Russian site also provides some specs for the device. It says that it features a 4.7-inch screen with a 1280 X 768 resolution. It also sports a quadcore, 1.5gHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. As most of the other reports on the phone have claimed, it sports 2GB of RAM.

This report also says that the phone only has 8GB of memory with no expansion possible, which is something we’ve heard about the device before. This has some potential buyers upset, but it seems as if Google wants to see people move towards storing stuff in the cloud rather than locally on their device. The E960 also has an eight megapixel camera, which makes sense because there is no bulge that would be required for a 13 megapixel camera to fit.

The phone has Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 installed. It also is reported to have a fixed battery, which could be a point of contention for users who like swapping batteries. Rumor has it that this device will be officially announced on October 29, and we will keep you posted as anything develops between now and then.
